After Almost Six Years, I’m Back in China (with Video)

Dear readers,
I recently moved to Tai’an City (泰安市) in Shandong Province (山东省). I had never visited this province before, and to be honest, I didn’t know much about it until I arrived. I was hired by a local university and am now living at the foot of Taishan (Mount Tai, 泰山), one of China’s most famous mountains.
Shandong is the birthplace of Confucius, and so far, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how friendly and relaxed the locals are. I’ve also been amazed by the air quality—the air has been incredibly clean, and I’ve enjoyed three days of blue skies and fresh air.
I’ve created two videos from my visit to Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province (one of which I have linked above), and I’ve also written about my trip to Baotu Spring Park, a beautiful park featuring temples, pavilions, and plenty of water!

It is also very interesting to read your perspectives on things. I am glad that you have returned to China. By the way, I visited Qingdao when I was 16. It was my first trip out of my province.
