Nanhu Park in Tai'an, Shandong Province (China)
This park is popular with locals who spend their time playing cards, singing and dancing.

I recently visited this lovely park.
Address: Nanhu Park, located southwest of the intersection of Qingnian Road and Lingshan Street, Taishan District, Tai’an City, Shandong Province (泰安南湖公园：山东省泰安市泰山区青年路与灵山大街交汇处西南侧)
It makes for a pleasant walk, whether you live in Tai’an City or are just staying for a few days.
Though the buildings aren’t truly ancient, the park is beautiful. You can people-watch or chat with locals, who are usually friendly and open to talking with foreigners.
Nanhu, the lake in the center of the park, is lined with willow trees.
Locals gather in groups to dance, play cards, and I also saw a few men singing and playing music.
Near the back entrance, you can admire artful stone carvings (including a dragon and a tree), and enjoy views of the city with Mount Tai (Taishan) in the background.
I recommend visiting this park if you live in Tai’an, or if you’re staying long enough to spend a few relaxing hours in one of the city’s most scenic spots.
