custody proceedings have finally started

I am very grateful that custody proceedings have finally started because due to my ex-husband’s behavior, I may never get a chance to see my children again if I do not receive sole custody of them.
I created a petition in German earlier this year to raise awareness about my case and the injustices inflicted upon my children and me.
Jocelyn Eikenburg, the creator of the blog Speaking of China, has been so kind as to do an interview with me in English in March this year concerning my situation. The petition is linked in the interview.
I applied for sole custody more than a year ago. The courts in Austria can be pretty slow and I have lost many precious years with my kids, and my kids their mother, because authorities have not been cooperative.
Going back to China was not an option because shortly after my husband told me he would not come to Austria with our kids and would send them to school in China, Covid-19 started and foreigners were not allowed to enter the country.
Once foreigners were allowed to enter the country again, a single flight could cost up to 6000 euros.
