To the singer I used to date: Certainly, you can keep abusing me, but I do not consent to any of this and I do not consent to anything you are trying to coerce me to do.
A man who abuses a woman simply because he thinks that no one will ever hear her or see her is a coward.
I believe that the reason why you keep abusing me is exactly this, because you believe that no one will ever know what you did to me, and no one will ever see the abuse.
I have talked and talked and tried to make you realize that I am not a dumb woman who is going to tolerate your abuse any further, and certainly, if you want to keep on abusing me, please do.
But aren’t there better ways to deal with this than to keep the abuse wheel running?
It will not change the past and neither will it change the present.
