Dear Joris, No Hoover Will Ever Heal A Relationship

Dear Joris,
we used to be in a long-distance relationship. I ended the relationship because you blamed me for your affairs, for your lies, for your not owning your own stuff.
You abused me, and then you also abused my children by proxy.
You started a huge smear campaign against me – when you could have simply decided to be kind and loving and to respect my privacy instead.
You have spilled your hatred and anger onto me – which are completely misplaced emotions.
The person you blame, it isn’t even me. It is not a mirror of who I am. It is not mirroring back who I am. I am a kind person, whom you had to portray as bad, as evil, as someone who is completely different from the person who I actually am.
I am not the perpetrator, even though you certainly had to paint me as the perpetrator and you as the victim.
I gave you one chance after another chance, and time to change your behavior, which you didn’t.
Have you ever been with a person who disrespected you?
(On a side note: The name mentioned on Wikipedia is not his real name, as far as I understand, and neither is his date of birth – he is actually older than me).
