How many stalkers are healthy to have?
Well, certainly none!
How many stalkers can one single person deal with on her own?
It depends on the stalker – every stalker is a hassle to deal with, though some leave your life faster than others if you tell them to eff off.
Why do some women attract more stalkers than others?
The reason may depend on the individual situation, but quite often, a woman is being stalked more often than others because she is attractive. She may also be stalked more often if she is famous.
Why do certain stalkers not work?
Their obsession is taking up their whole life, and they may make sure they don’t have to work so they can stalk their victim all of the time.
Are stalkers born or made?
There is probably a genetic component to stalking.
Is it more normal for women to have stalkers or for men to have stalkers?
This is hard to know. While it is known that men may be stalked as well, I know of more women who have had issues with seriously dangerous stalkers who are threatening their life. Online, you may find more videos of women having to deal with stalkers than men who have to deal with stalkers. Some claim this is because men don’t talk about being stalked as much, but I believe that women are more prone to intimate partner violence or to being stalked by violent and dangerous men, which many stalkers are. Women who stalk exist, though the percentage of women who stalk who are truly dangerous may not be as high as the number of men who stalk who are extremely dangerous for a woman. Cases of femicides are common, but intimate partner violence, where a woman kills a man after ending a relationship, are not known to occur just as frequently.
What is the easiest way to get rid of a stalker?
This always depends on the individual person and how obsessed he is with stalking you. The easiest way is usually to make him obsessed with another person, whom he then starts stalking, though many stalkers may not be open to stalking someone else instead of you (I have tried suggesting this to one particular stalker who has stalked me for many years).
Are bloggers more prone to attracting stalkers?
Yes, bloggers with a certain audience (one that is big enough) to attract enough people may also attract stalkers. Certain stalkers are celebrity stalkers and these may also stalk a woman with an online presence and try to get attention by getting closer to that woman and by trying to appear on her blog or otherwise become known.
Which places are common to come across stalkers?
Any public place, but private places may attract stalkers as well. If a person knows others can observe the stalking taking place, they may not stalk while at a party with friends, for example. In public spaces, a stalker may feel safer to stalk you if others don’t know him and if he has no friends around who are able to observe that he is stalking someone. In private, spouses or partners may stalk as well. It is also common to be stalked at the workplace.
Have stalking incidents gone up?
I believe stalkers have always existed, but that women at a certain age range have to deal with more frequent stalking because of the widespread use of spyware and the easy access this grants a stalker to their victim.
Will a stalker leave me alone simply after I report him to the police?
This, again, depends on the stalker. Many stalkers are so obsessed that they won’t leave their victim alone after she has reported them to the police. Her life may also be in a greater danger if she has, since a stalker may feel threatened of being exposed and usually doesn’t take things like being reported to the police lightly. The police may also not protect victims, but protect perpetrators. A woman’s life may be at great risk once she reports a stalker to the police, and some have been murdered when the stalker got to know they reported him to the police, with some carrying the police report with them at the time of the murder. Stalking is a sickness that may be so extreme that a stalker won’t leave you alone after you have reported him to the police, but may up his efforts of controlling you and surveilling you.
Will a stalker leave me alone when I tell friends and family about him?
Some stalkers may, but others won’t. Stalkers sometimes suffer from a mental illness where they want a lot of drama in their life and where they want to be known for having been in some kind of relationship with you, since this may make them feel powerful or famous, especially if you are a blogger or have an online presence. It may even increase the stalking or their wanting to be close to you, either physically or otherwise, since some stalkers are intimacy stalkers who think that whenever you talk about them, this reflects that you are in some kind of relationship with each other, which makes them think they are special. Some stalkers only want to get a lot of attention from other people, and they don’t care if the attention is positive or negative, as long as people know you two somehow know each other (even if you may not truly know that stalker), he may not mind if you tell your friends and family, but actually feel powerful because you can’t get free from him.
Will telling a stalker ‘no’ make him go away?
Usually, a true stalker won’t go away if you tell him ‘no’, and with regards to some stalkers, a ‘no’ may put you into extreme danger, if they fall into the category of ‘rejected stalker’, where they will retaliate if a woman rejects them. They may be afraid of losing you or losing access to you, and may up their efforts of stalking and controlling you. Their behavior may get completely out of control if you reject them, and some may want to kill you if you reject them.
